Presentation by John Kenyon (Chairman) to Wendy Bower (President) and Keith Bower (Former Treasurer)
About to emigrate to New Zealand and taking a small piece of the English Lakeland with them, Wendy and Keith were presented with a Coniston Slate house name plate bearing their kennel name, in recognition of their many years service to the LTC. We wish them health and happiness in their new life.

Video recording for Kennel Club Crufts Channel
Picture shows Heidi Hudson the KC official video reporter interviewing and filming our secretary Carol Ockwell at our Crufts stand; 5th March 2009. We have the impression that Crufts stand assessors were particularly impressed with our entirely individual, non commercial produced merchandise.
Although not a weekend day this year we were busy as ever and made some new friends as well as welcoming many old ones.
As part of our developing corporate image, by kind permission of Pat Peters (Kilfel) (USA) we have adapted a drawing of hers to form the club logo. Ms Peters writes: "You might be interested to know that the original model was an English bitch, Ch. Pitglen Party Piece, who was imported for Pool Forge Kennels by Peter Green as one of the conditions of his emigration to the U.S. She is behind some of my foundation stock and I agree that her head and expression are lovely.
Pat Peters"
UK and USA Champion P Party Piece, born 21 May 1960, was actually bred in Fife Scotland by J. H. Paterson though out of James Cooper's (Greeba) Cumbrian stock - G Ranthorn Barrister X Ch G Rendale Rare Jen.
Crufts Stand March 9 2008
Club Representatives spent an enjoyable day fielding questions from the public and meeting friends old and new. The club extends a warm welcome to the seven new people who signed up to membership.
We were kept very busy catching up with subscriptions and advertising fees, distributing year books and selling our small range of merchandise and publications. The 2009 calendar proved very popular and is still available by post, see merchandise page for details. We look forward to doing it all again next year.
The day following Crufts produced far and away the largest number of page loads in a day for this site since its inception -554.
Pictured on the stand are Gazette and Calendar editor Roz Smith and Year Book editor John Maloney .
